Shaune Fraser is a Competition Swimmer (born March 29, 1988) is a competition swimmer and Pan American Games silver medalist from the Cayman Islands. Fraser represented the Cayman Islands at the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Summer OlympicsRepresented Cayman at the 2009 FINA World Championships in Rome, Italy, during summer 2009, finishing 10th in the 200 free (1:46.44), 18th in the 100 free (48.47), 55th in the 100 fly (53.07) and 50th in the 50 fly (24.35)…Recorded a then career-best 1:48.60, good for fifth in the 200-meter free in his prelim heat at the 2008 Olympic Games, representing the Cayman Islands … Was honored by representing the Cayman Islands as the flag bearer at the closing ceremonies of the 2008 Olympic Games … Placed 13th in the 200 free (1:38.77), 14th in the 200 fly and 19th in the 200 IM (1:49.09) at the 2007 ConocoPhillips U.S. Short Course Nationals … Finished 42nd in the 100-meter butterfly (55.20) and 17th in the 200-meter free (1:50.45) at the 2007 ConocoPhillips U.S. Nationals … Finished 13th in the 200-meter free (1:56.74) and 17th in the 200-meter fly (2:08.44) at the 2007 Eric Namesnik Memorial Grand Prix in Ann Arbor, Mich. … Also placed 19th in the 100-meter back (1:02.54), 20th in the 200-meter IM (2:13.79) and 24th in the 400-meter free (4:12.79) … Picked up a gold medal in the 200-meter free, as well as silver medals in the 100-meter free and 200-meter IM, at the 2006 Central American and Caribbean Games … Led off the Bolles 800-meter FR squad that took first (7:37.05) at the 2006 U.S. Spring Nationals … Placed seventh in the 200-meter IM (2:09.51) and 16th in the 200-meter fly (2:06.01) at the same meet … Posted a time of 1:53.19 in the 200-meter free while representing the Cayman Islands at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece
