Shaune Fraser and University of Florida

Fraser graduated from the Bolles School, a private high school located in Jacksonville, Florida, known for its excellent prep swim teams.[2] He received an athletic scholarship to attend the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, where he was a finance major and swam for coach Gregg Troy's Florida Gators swimming and diving team in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) competition from 2006 to 2010.[3]

(born March 29, 1988) is a competition swimmer and Pan American Games silver medalist from the Cayman Islands. Fraser represented the Cayman Islands at the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics

Upon graduation, Shaune accepted a scholarship offer to compete at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. Shaune decided to focus on acquiring a degree in finance while he swam under Head Coach Gregg Troy from 2006 to 2010.College SwimmingIn the 2006-07, Shaune's freshman season, Shaune earned several All-America honors at the NCAA Championships in Minneapolis, Minnesota by racing to fifth-place finishes in the 200-yard individual medley.

the 200 fly (1:40.75) and also took over the NCAA Meet Record with his performance in the 200 fly in College Station…Became the first Gator to win the 200 fly since associate head coach Anthony Nesty did so in 1990…Racked up six All-American accolades at NCAAs and set career-best marks in five events at the meet in Texas…In addition to his 200 free and 200 fly performances, finished fifth in the 200 IM (1:42.45) with a new career-best mark…Set career-bests in the 50 & 100 free races as the leadoff leg of the eighth-place 200 free relay and seventh place 400 free relays…Also swam as a member on the fifth-place 400 medley relay, the eighth place 200 medley relay and the ninth place 800 free relay…Set Florida records in four individual events throughout the season (50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 200 fly)…Claimed the SEC title in the 200 free (1:33.73)…Picked up two All-SEC honors his junior season (200 free, 800-free relay)…Also took second in the 200 fly (1:41.88) and eighth in the 200 IM (1:45.63) at SECs…A member of the Gators' 800 free relay that took second (6:18.36) and the 400 free relay that took fourth (2:52.12)…A 2009 CSCAA Scholar All-American that was also named to the 2009 SEC Academic Honor Roll…Swam in a total of 12 duals and invitationals for the Gators his junior season.
